EDI - a key to success
The flow of information is more vital than ever.
Paperless communication between companies saves time and money. Through EDI (Electronic
Data Interchange) we can offer our customers direct transfer of transport and logistics
data with a subsequent reduction in both lead times and administration.
The information is transferred electronically with the aid of standardised messages. The
global EDI standard is known as Edifact (Electronic Data Interchange for Administration,
Commerce and Transport). Edifact, which includes a number of documents, allows the
consignor's and consignee's computer systems to understand each other.
- Logistics assignments
Our EDI solutions cover a broad range of information. Logistics
assignments often include services such as repacking, distribution, incoming order
administration and invoicing. Such assignments presuppose integration of the parties'
computer systems and standardised Edifact messages have also been created for these
services.
- EDI, warehouse
The electronic incoming delivery advice is a notification of whether the
goods have arrived at the warehouse. An order is a request that one or several specified
articles be delivered to a consignee. We can receive the order either from our customer or
directly from the purchaser.
